He lived in Allen County IN when he enlisted on 9/24/1861 as a Private.
On 9/24/1861 he mustered into "D" Co. IN 30th Infantry.
He was discharged for disability on 9/30/1862.

First wife was Mary Jane Allman, daughter of James and Lydia Rumple Allman of Ohio.
