Centralia Pioneer Dies
Mrs Rebecca Thomas, one of the oldest residents of Chehalis, died at her home in that city yesterday. Mrs Thomas was 86 years old and was the only woman in Lewis County drawing a pension as a nurse during the civil war. She was born in Ohio in 1825 and served through the entire four years of fighting. Mrs Thomas is survived by one son, W. L. Thomas, as whose home the aged woman passed away. The local post of the G.A.R. and the Womans Relief Corps will have charge of the funeral services.

One of the ladies auxillary of the Daughters of the Union Veterans in Chehalis, WA. was named after her, the Anna Thomas Tent
