The old gentleman who has been living hereabouts for some years, known as "Dad" Baker died at the Sultan hotel on Monday evening. He had been suffering from la-grippe for a month past, and being somewhat broken in constitution, he was unable to rally from its effect. Mr. Baker was a native of Pennsylvania and served several years in the civil war. His funeral was held from the hotel on Tuesday afternoon, and the remains interred at the Sultan Cemetery.
