Per 1890 Veterans Schedule he served as a Private in the Maysville Home
Guard (Mason County, KY) from August 1, 1861 to September 21, 1861. It does
not appear he ever attempted to get a pension. Notes on the Veterans
Schedule indicate his unit was part of the Union loyalist effort under
General William "Bull" Nelson.
