is known sibling (according to the 1880 census) is Martin Christopherson, b. 1860 in Norway. (Both parents from Norway)

Civil War - he enlisted December 24, 1863 in Spring Grove, Minnesota. He served as a Private in Company G, Minnesota 2nd Cavalry Regiment . He mustered out on December 29, 1865.

The 2nd Minnesota Cavalry served entirely in Minnesota, Dakota Territory, and Montana Territory guarding the frontier against the Sioux Indians.

Battles his regiment participated in:
Battle of Killdeer Mountain, July 28, 1864.
Action at Two Hills, Bad Lands, Little Missouri River, August 8 to 9, 1864.
Rescue of Fisk's Emigrant train, September 10 to 30,1864.

He married Bertha (Betsy) Larsen, November 27, 1872 in Harmony, Fillmore County, Minnesota. No known issue.
