EARLY PIONEER BURIED
J. C. Ernest, an old pioneer of this section, who settled here in 1885 on what is now known as the Ballard ranch, eight miles northeast of town, died on March 22 at Mt. Angle, Oregon. The remains were shipped here and burial took place in Fraternity cemetery. Rev. Newham conducting a short service at the grave.
