Civil War veteran, Private, Company E, 135th Indiana Infantry, 23 May - 29 Sep 1864; married Agnes Belle Spears on 1 Mar 1875 in Vigo, Indiana; minister in Illinois and Washington; at his death at Ross (later Fremont, later Seattle) he left his widow with three minor children. His grave, according to his obituary, is at Mount Pleasant, but a marker has not been found. It may have been laid flat and be under turf.
