Fairmount Memorial Park was originally established as Fairmount Cemetery on May 29, 1888. It served as the Spokane community's "Official City and County Burial Ground". This cemetery park is made up of 160 acres with just over 80 developed. Sitting high on the rim rock above the Spokane River, one can enjoy the breath taking view of Spokane's "Bowl and Pitcher" and Riverside State Park.
